May brings so much excitement to the coast! It’s also bringing lots of new products to our stores. We have wonderful selections of everything that you need for those school, teacher and graduation albums and gifts. Also arriving are new baby and wedding lines and our new faith selections are perfect for every occassion. Our beach and vacation albums, papers, embellishments and page kits are truly the "Best of the Beach".

 

You won’t want to miss anything, so be sure to visit us at both stores. For those of you shopping at Scrapbooks By The Sea in Pawleys Island, we have a special golf gift for hubby if he is with you. Designing Day

Everyone has been asking for a "local" Designing Day". We have scheduled one for Friday, May 26th at 2:00PM in  Pawleys Island. We will be using a variety of new products and techniques to complete 5 two-page layouts. We will be doing layouts using  colored vellums as well as mulberry paper, new polished stone cardstock, sticker art, crystal lacquer, ocean jewels, charms and lots more. You can register for these fun classes by emailing kim@scrapbooksbythesea.com  or by calling the store at 843-235-9909. You will need to pay the $30.00 cost when you register. The class size is limited. You will need to bring your trimmer, scissors, glue dots, pop dots, adhesives regular and glue), chalks, eyelet tool and a ruler.

 

 

 

 

 

Classes

Everyone is invited to join us in Surfside Beach on Mondays at 6:00PM or at Pawleys Island on Tuesdays at 6:00PM. Please bring your basic supplies with you to each class. I always have a "share basket" for visitors, but it is not always conveniant to borrow from your seat mate every week, so please remember that you will need to bring your trimmer, scissors, gluedots, pop dots, adhesives, chalks and eyelet tools.

 

Those Crazy Coluzzles

Watch for information on the Coluzzle Workshop. We will be posting it soon. The Coluzzle system is great and many of you have asked for classes. We will cover everything from the basics to creating beautiful layouts using a variety of the templates and shapes.

 

Retreats

The Fall Into Scrappin',Too Retreat in October is booking great.  Nick has added some more rooms to our block but October is a busy month at the beach and there won’t be any add-ons once they’re filled.   The Chocolate Crop in January has been booking very fast.  This is our signature event and this one will be the 5th Anniversary party so it’s gonna be special.  There are only 19 spaces left for Chocolate Crop so you need to act quickly.   These events and our entire schedule of retreats are on the website at www.scrapbooksbythesea.com.   You can register online or call the store and register by phone.

 

Ark Fest

Scrapbooks By The Sea is very excited to be a part of Ark Fest – Christ our Ark of Safety festival at Broadway at the Beach on June 17th, 2006.  There will be Christian entertainment, a festival atmosphere, games for kids, crafts and loads of food.  Go to www.arkfest.org for more information.

 

May Bike Weeks

 Don't forget if you’re coming for bike weeks, we can mail your  purchases back home for you. You’re also invited to come in and scrap in our stores if you get tired of riding. We’ll give all "scrappin" bikers a discount during both May events.
