It’s Summer At  The Beach 

 Can you imagine that summer is here already? We’re looking forward to seeing all of our visiting friends and local scrappers, too. Just remember that you don't want to be barefoot while you’re scrappin' at the beach because you’ll get burned everytime!  Scrapbooks By The Sea   has the most unique vacation and summer items plus page kits and embellishments, all at the lowest prices!   We don’t take advantage of our customers just because you are on vacation. We have the best designers and the best prices!   We’re the “Best of the Beach" as proclaimed by the readers of The Sun News. 

 

Anniversary

Thank you to all of our friends and customers for supporting our business for the last 5 years! It seems like just yesterday that we opened our first store in Surfside Beach. We have met so many wonderful people and built friendships that have lasted through the years. 

To celebrate and to show our appreciation, we are doing some special things at both store locations!  We’ll be offering a 15% discount during the month of June to anyone bringing in a copy of this newsletter. This applies to purchases only and can't be combined with any other discount or croppin card.  This offer can not be used for class discounts but you will receive purchase credit on your croppin card.  That's not all !!! You’ll need to put your name, phone number, and e-mail address on the back of your newsletter and drop it in our scrappy box.  We’ll draw for a Scrapbooks By The Sea   gift certificate as well as other great prizes on June 30th at both stores.   The newsletter is your registration form.  We’ll not have any other forms in the stores, so be sure to bring it with you.

 

Page Contest

We are having a Sizzlin' Summer Page contest at both stores to celebrate even more! Get busy on those summer layouts and bring them into either store by June 19th. Everyone visiting the stores will have the opportunity to vote for the most unique design. Anything goes as long as it's 2 pages and summer themed! The voting will take place from June 20th through June 30th. We’ll have a winner at both store locations. You may enter at both stores and vote at both. Just be sure to put your name and phone number on the back of your pages.

 

The Ark Fest – Free Festival

 Scrapbooks By The Sea   is very excited to be a part of Ark Fest – Christ our Ark of Safety festival at Broadway at the Beach on June 17th, 2006.  We are a proud sponsor and look forward to seeing everyone at the festival.  There will be Christian entertainment, a festival atmosphere, games for kids, crafts and loads of food.  Go to www.arkfest.org for more information.

 

Retreats

Don’t forget to check the retreat schedule on the web site.  The Crazy Chocolate Crop has just a couple of slots left, Fall is within a few days of being sold out, so be sure to check the dates and register now.  You can also register for Snowman Lovers in February and the Spring Fling in March on the website, www.scrapbooksbythesea.com .

 

Scrappy Kids Kamp

Watch for information on our "Scrappy Kids Kamp" to be held in July. Last year's camp was so successful that we had to hold 2 sessions! This year each child will complete a great ABC album.

 

Classes

We invite everyone to join us for our classes. We have classes in Surfside Beach every Monday at 6:00PM and each Tuesday at Pawleys Island at 6:00PM. The cost for each class is $5.00 and includes everything that you need to complete a 2 page layout.  Please remember to bring your "basics" with you to class. ( We have a share basket for visitors and new scrappers) This month's classes include Summer themes, birthday themes, watermelons, bird houses and a few other surprises. We will be using templates, chalks, eyelets, wire, stamps and more! Please remember your chalks and eyelet tools.

 

Sandlappers Grill

If you’re making a trip to the Pawleys Island store anytime soon be sure to visit our new neighbor in The Village Shops.  The NEW Sandlappers Grill has delicious food for lunch and dinner, refreshing beverages and a true low county atmosphere including the back deck.  Come shop, have a bite and enjoy your trip to Pawleys Island.

 

New Store Hours

Scrapbooks By The Sea   is now open on Sunday afternoon from 12:00 Noon until 4:00PM at the Pawleys Island Store.

Any of you visitors who may be coming down and plan on staying on the south end of the Grand Strand may want to take a look at NEW website devoted to just that area.  Take a peek at www.elowcountry.com for information on places to eat, stay and of course shop, including Scrapbooks By The Sea.  Check it out, it’s a great site. You can also find us on www.visitorscentral.com co-hosted by WPDE television and featuring information about the entire Grand Strand.  Visit them both for your pre-visit information – or for locals you may just find something new you didn’t know about.
