I want to thank
all of you for your phone calls, emails, and visits during these last couple of
weeks. Most of all, I thank you for your prayers. As many of you are aware, Nick passed away
suddenly and my world
fell apart. We were always together and he was my life. The days are long, but the nights seem longer.
Please pray extra hard for me as I continue and expand Scrapbooks By The Sea.
I am so
grateful to Vickie, Jill, Mary Jo and Beth who have kept the store open while I
am dealing with things. I am also so blessed to have “The Scrappy Girls” and
“The Wacky Scrappers”. These girls are my rock and strength.
To all of you as I begin my adventures with the emails and website. If you receive something more
than once, you’ll know that I got “finger happy”

Exciting News Coming Soon!!!
Are you a "Faithful Scrapper”? We will create
beautiful layouts using the newest faith based and inspirational products
that have never been available in this area. Not only will the
layouts be will be enhanced by stories of ourselves, poems and quotes, but
we will be creating a piece of ourselves to leave behind someday. It is
important for all of us to tell our stories and those that we grew up hearing
from other family members. This is something that, as many of you know, has
been my desire to pursue since opening Scrapbooks
By The Sea. The cost will be for materials, just
as it is for classes at the store. This is not a Bible Study, but just a time
for meaningful scrapbooking. Plans are also being
made for a "Faithful
Scrappers" weekend retreat that will involve special guests and
will be a weekend that will live forever in our hearts and lives.
I have to share with you that when we had lease negotiation
problems and decided to close the Surfside store as we
mentioned in last month’s Coastal Cropper,
I was devastated because it was such a special place to me. I sat in the
middle of the floor and cried. Then, I realized that it was just that,
"a place" and that my mother always told me that things happen for a
reason and that God does not close a door without opening another one. Now,
that Nick passed away so suddenly, I see that God knew what was best, I will be
posting all of the details about this new group in the next couple of weeks
CLASSES
Please
bring your basic supplies with you to class. These include your trimmer,
scissors, adhesives, eyelet tools and chalks. Classes are every Tuesday at
July is Jumping with great classes this
month. You will not want to miss a single one!
Retreats:
Many of you are already aware that we will be holding our events
at a new resort location starting with our Fall Into Scrappin’ Retreat in October. We will be opening the crop room doors at the
Sands Ocean Dunes Resort for our 2007 – 2008 retreat season.
We are very excited about the new location and the many
opportunities that this brings to our weekends. You're gonna
love it! ALL of the information is now posted on the website for the next FOUR events!
A couple of these are almost full,
so register now.
We can't wait to see many of our visitors as you
all return this summer. Scrapbooks by the Sea is the
