Happy New Year!

Nick and I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you, our friends, visitors and customers for helping make 2006 a great year at Scrapbooks By The Sea.  As we move into 2007 we have many exciting things planned for both stores including a new product line up, new look and even another place to shop.  Please take the time to say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to someone new during this holiday season – and be sure to take lots of pictures so you’ll be ready to scrap ‘em during 2007.

Just a note for you to remember.  In keeping with past years the Surfside Beach store will be closed starting Saturday, December 23rd, so we can enjoy the holiday week.  The Pawleys Island store will continue to be open during regular hours.

The Surfside Beach store will remain closed until after January’s Chocolate Crop Retreat so we can do some cleaning, fixing and arranging – besides Vickie told Nick the carpets were really awful and that he should clean them.  Watch for a re-opening announcement after Chocolate Crop for the Surfside Beach store.

The Chocolate Crop letters have gone out and the SOLD OUT gathering for our 5th Anniversary Edition of The Crazy Chocolate Crop will be gathering at the M Grande on January 12th for one of the best retreats to date.

Those of you already signed up for February’s Snowman Lovers SOLD OUT event will be receiving your letters around the middle of January so be watching for them to arrive.

All of the retreats so far this season have been sell outs, so don’t waste any time in registering for our FLIP FLOP SPRING Event.  It’s up on the web site now and open for registration.  Right now it’s almost one quarter full so start planning ahead and get your registration in right away.  It’s a great last minute Christmas wish – or even a planned spring get-a-way for you and all your pals.  Check it out at www.scrapbooksbythesea.com , click on the retreats section and sign up today!

ALL CLASSES FOR JANUARY 2007 will be held in the Pawleys Island store.  Classes are each Tuesday at 6:00PM.  Please bring your basic kit with you including chalks, eyelet tools, adhesives, cutter, scissors, etc. January’s classes will include everything from penguins to snowmen, so think cold!

By the way – the last class for 2006 will be held at the Pawleys Island store, too. Santa, by the time this class rolls around, will have come and gone and he left his clothes behind.  It’s called “Naked Santa” and not to be confused with naked Nick – so join us for a great time at the Pawleys Island store for out swing into the new  year with a fun class!

Watch for a special announcement too, regarding Cricuts.  With all the Cricut machines that are under the tree this year we’ll be doing more Cricut Workshops.  We’ll be announcing a schedule right after the first of the year – so plan to attend and learn how to use that new machine.

That’s about it for now – and remember when you get down by the sea, do stop by and say hello!
