In just a few days the ocean front ball rooms at the M Grande Resort and Spa will be transformed into a snowman lovers igloo and filled with scrappers ready for a fun-filled weekend.  There’ll be nothing like having your picture taken with a snowman on the beach under a palm tree!  The SOLD OUT gathering of scrappers are coming from up and down the east coast – so be careful girls and we’ll see y’all on the 10th of February!

NEW products have been arriving almost daily since the end of last week as our pre-CHA orders are rolling in now.  The show is going on in Las Vegas but we stayed back here to place orders and be ready for whenever you come to the beach with the newest and latest with tons more continuing to arrive for the next six weeks or more. We’re introducing a NEW line of albums and the Snowman Lovers will get the first peek at these American made bright, new post bound albums. In the stores NOW!

The stores are taking on a NEW look this spring so don’t mind the rearranging if you stop by.  Anyone who knows me knows that I get these bright ideas every winter – knocking out walls, repainting , moving Nick’s office without him knowing it, you know, just whatever.  And, this year is no different.  I think everyone will enjoy the new look and layout inside the stores.

Congratulations to Linda Cushing, she won the FREE return trip to next year’s 5th Annual Crazy Chocolate Crop, 2007.  Everyone had a blast and we’re looking forward to celebrating the 5th anniversary of this keystone event in our retreat schedule.  Previous attendees, watch your mail box soon for a special announcement concerning the 2007 event.

Speaking of 2007, Nick just finished negotiating our future contracts with the M Grande Resort & Spa and we now have events scheduled through the fall of 2007.  The remodeling is going well and we’re excited about being able to invite everyone back to the M Grande for our retreats through 2007.  The M Grande is our official hotel; you can find their website on our directions page on the website, if you’re planning a summer holiday at the beach.

Our next event is the Flip Into Spring event, scheduled for March 31, April 1 and April 2, 2006.  It is booking now, and you still have time to take advantage of the Early Bird pricing.  We’ll be cropping in the ocean front rooms and we would love to share this special beach fun weekend with all of you.  Go to the website, www.scrapbooksbythesea.com , and register online or call us anytime and we’ll take your registration over the phone.  Get a group together and come on down.  No need to go barefoot when you can wear flip flops at the Flip Into Spring event!

Scrapbooks By The Sea   will be setting up shop at the Bass Pro Shops in Myrtle Beach on February 18th and March 11th, 2006.  Come visit us and see what we can do with your camping, hunting, fishing and boating pictures – an exciting adventure album or collection is fun to do and you’ll love showing your fisherman or hunter how handsome he is in a new album.  Check the Bass Pro Shops, Myrtle Beach store website, http://www.basspro.com/servlet/catalog.CFPage?appID=94&storeID=10&cmid=featStoreNAME_MYRTLEBEACH ,  for more details on the special days scheduled now.

Designing Day!  We’re taking Scrapbooks By The Sea on the road starting next month.  Designing Day will premiere in Florence with a SOLD OUT group of happy scrappers where we’ll bring a full day’s worth of classes – six two page layouts featuring new techniques, materials and fun for the day.  Watch the newsletter for more Designing Days as we expand the schedule throughout North and South Carolina.  If you have a group that would be interested, call the Surfside Beach store and let us know.

Classes at both stores have been fun and exciting – just a reminder, every Monday evening in Surfside Beach at 6PM and in Pawleys Island, every Tuesday evening at 6PM.  Be sure you bring your trimmer, scissors, adhesives (including pop dots & glue dots), chalks and eyelet tool each week.  We have tools to share if you’re a beginner so come on in for a class anytime.  February classes will cover everything from rainbows to hearts and more.  Vickie is teaching the class on February 13th at the Surfside Beach store.  It’s and awesome layout!!!

We’ve thrown a lot of information at you so be sure to mark your calendars for classes, retreats and the many special events coming up.  If you love to scrap at the beach – then stop by the next time you’re down by the sea – and scrap at the best of the beach!
