Well it’s here; it’s that time of the year when we all have so much to do we don’t know where to turn next.  Gatherings with friends, our neighbors and who knows what all. The kids will be out of school in a couple of weeks and the countdown to Christmas Day will begin in earnest.  That old grumbly scrooge Nick even said we should decorate the stores for Christmas this year.  That’s a first!  But we did … at least in a modest sort of fashion.

Actually, we have so much Christmas product in stock that  the stores are really festooned with the spirit of the holiday even without doing much decorating.  Don’t forget to let your “Santa Baby” know what he could get for you at Scrapbooks By The Sea, or drop off a list of what you’re looking for and we’ll be sure to guide him in the right direction for you.  Of course we have those special Gift Certificates available for you to use after the holidays are over if he needs to find the right stocking stuffer for you.  Albums, totes, tools or even a retreat … you can get it all from us.

Speaking of retreats.  The Snowman Lovers Retreat in February is filling fast, just like the January Crazy Chocolate Crop did.  There are still places available for February so get your reservation in before you forget about it.  All the information is on the website, www.scrapbooksbythesea.com , including the online registration form.  Any questions at all do feel free to give us a call anytime.

Since I mentioned the website, a reminder for you all, that the newsletter is now on the website the first of each month. Just go to www.scrapbooksbythesea.com and click on the Newsletter “tab” and you’ll get the newsletter page.  Click on the current month and read it online or print it out for future reference.

We’re making a number of changes to the website including completely redoing the database and the way we send out the newsletter each month.  Yes, I had yet another problem with AOL and they finally booted me offline so we’re going to make it even easier from now on to get the newsletter.  By the way, pass this on to all your scrapbooking friends so they don’t miss any of the information just in case we miss getting the e-mail addresses back in the data base correctly.

Classes will be held each and every Monday in December, including Monday, December 26, 2005.  The Pawleys Island classes will be on Tuesday as normal too.  All classes start at 6:00PM in both locations.  We would invite everyone to come have some fun with us, especially if you have some time off during December or if you happen to be visiting the area during the Christmas holiday.  Snowbirds too, will find both of our stores warm and inviting and a great place to make new friends while you’re spending the winter in our moderate climate all the time, calling your friends back up north and listening to them grumble about snow, cold and icy roads.

If you don’t have any of your tools or supplies with you, we do have “share baskets” at both stores.  For the December classes you will be needing adhesives, glue dots, pop dots, scissors, trimmer, chalks and your eyelet tool.  This month the classes will be different in both stores so it will double your opportunity to do something new and different for the holidays.  All the classes are festive and fun so feel free to call and find out what the class designs will be so you can pick which times you may want to “double scrap” this month.

We will close for the Christmas holiday on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, December 23, 24 and 25.  We will re-open bright and early, well at 10:00AM, on Monday, December 26, 2005

Finally, Nick and I want to wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  We’re thankful and blessed to have so many wonderful friends, and our customers are our friends, and hope this season of joy finds each and every one of you with those you love and enjoy.

Enjoy all the special times – take lots and lots of pictures and we’ll scrap ‘em with you after all the company goes home and the kids get back in school.  PS – give each of your kids and visitors who are sharing the holidays with you a disposable camera and let them take pictures for you.  Collect them all up and see what wonderful special memories you’ll have to scrap after the first of the year.

Now, Merry Christmas – Happy New Year and remember when you’re down by the sea, drop in and say hello.
